The Photographic Society of Malaysia was founded in 1956 to promote photography as an art form. Membership is open to everyone, and as members, you grow with us as photographers and discover the exciting and varied world of photography.
From our international salon to free regional circuits and members-only contests, there is always something to enter.
Four sections under FIAP, PSA and RPS patronage. Awards count toward PSA Star Ratings and FIAP Distinctions.

PSM confers its own lifetime distinctions, recognised by the Registrar of Societies since 1990. A clear ladder from Associate to Honorary Fellow.
APSM

FPSM
For existing Associates or ARPS / FRPS holders, showing high achievement combined with service such as lecturing or publication.
Hon.FPSM
Conferred by the Council to recognise distinguished contributions to photography or to the Society. By nomination only.
All distinctions are awarded for life. In 2014, 27 photographers from several countries were conferred Hon.FPSM. Members may also pursue FIAP (AFIAP, EFIAP) and PSA honours.
Open to beginners and experienced photographers of all ages. Grow with us through competitions, outings, talks and the path to distinctions.
Joining PSM is simple. Complete the membership form, settle the fees, and send it to the committee — you'll be part of the Society in no time.
